After Hours...And that’s a wrap!
What will come as a shock to many outside the Sony Team Martin has just announced his decision to close the event 2 days early.
For us here it was a sensible decision on observing his declining energy levels which were hit hard during his mid-way yalla yalla encounter and never quite recovered. What we can not overlook is his incredible achievements which have once again secured this amazing athletes position as the World’s Best Freediver – a title he first claimed back in 2001. These recently set new word records in freediving remind us those 8 years later and 15 World Records on Martin Stepanek truly is a legend of freediving with historical achievements.
With one record remaining and an eye on the 2009 World Freediving Championships we have no doubt you will see more breathtaking performances from this man before the year is out.
From the whole Sony Free Team we would like to thank the incredible support and following we have had for this 2009 Free Like No Other event. It’s been an amazing journey and we hoped you enjoyed the spectacular photos, videos and updates as much as we enjoyed providing them.
